Vision

The future of the ACCA as a national organization will rest upon the strength, enthusiasm and participation of each of its existing members. Each current member must and will be a visible advocate and enthusiastic recruiter for the Association. The effectiveness of any group is largely dependent upon the willingness of each individual member to do their part with wholeheartedness and diligence. The ACCA Board of Directors has committed and pledged itself to strengthen the Association by dedicating its efforts toward enhancing the original vision of service; serving the member schools and each athlete.. At heart, the greatest leader is first of all, a servant of all. Likewise, a great organization meets the needs of its members.

The original purpose of the ACCA was to provide Christian and Bible schools an opportunity to compete as Christian athletes in a public and national forum. The goals and priorities include providing first class National Tournaments with quality Christian athletic competition, developing solid, demonstrated Christian character in our student/athletes, and bringing positive attention to God and his Son, Jesus Christ, through athletic competition, academic excellence and Christian service on our campuses and our communities.

Directional vision requires strong leadership. Therefore the name was changed in June 2004 from the National Bible College Athletic Association (NBCAA) to the Association of Christian College Athletics (ACCA) and a commissioner was hired. Many hours of strategic planning has taken place. The Board of Directors has directed the commissioner to focus his efforts in several areas to include; (1) increasing ACCA membership; (2) increasing the number of ACCA sports offered for national competition; (3) developing a corporate sponsorship/fundraising agenda; (4) enhancing and strengthening the fellowship of ACCA schools; (5) organizing ministry opportunities in the USA and Canada and overseas for member schools student/athletes. It is the desire of the commissioner that every ACCA member school develop a Christian Service Initiative that allows each athletic team to serve its secular community by performing acts of service and kindness that bring glory and honor to God.

A strong ACCA future is predicated upon a decisive, committed and united present. The combined effort of focused member schools will enhance the ability to grow an effective national organization in the USA and Canada, which in turn will strengthen each member schools athletic program.
