ACCA National Basketball Championships Set To Begin - Wednesday, March 5, 2008
Bethany, OK - The 2008 edition of the ACCA National Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will begin Wednesday, March 5, 2008. Teams from across the United States and Canada will be competing for national championships in Men's Division I and II and Women's Division I. The tournament is being hosted again by Southwestern Christian University and Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, with games being played at Southwestern and Bethany High School.
The national tournament tournament tip-off banquet will be held on Wednesday, March 5 at 12:00 Noon at the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene Atrium. The banquet will be followed by the annual skills competition at Southwestern Christian University, with contests being held in three point, free throw, and dunk.

ACCA National Sponsorship Announced - Monday, January 21, 2008

| Soccer and Volleyball Tournaments Information Released - Sunday, September 30, 2007
The ACCA National Men's Soccer and Women's Volleyball Championships will take place November 1-3, 2007. The Men's Soccer tournament will take place in Joplin, MO, while the Women's Volleyball tournament will take place in Omaha, NE.

| ACCA Athlete Passes Away - Friday, August 17, 2007
The ACCA's thoughts and prayers are with our family at Oak Hills Christian College who have recently lost a member of their men's basketball team. Dan Hovestol, Athletic Director at Oak Hills Christian College, writes the following tribute:
"Nathan Kahlstorf was a reserve forward on the 2006-2007 Oak Hills Christian College basketball team. Nathan died on Tuesday, July 24 in a motorcycle accident close to Duluth, Minnesota at the young age of 20. Nathan will best be remembered as intelligent, a hard worker, incredibly athletic with great jumping ability, soft spoken and most importantly as a lover of Jesus Christ. Nathan was passionate about his love for Christ and was a great example to his teammates and anyone that came in contact with him. Nathan had a heart for missions and truly cared about those who were spiritually lost. The length of time he lived was short on quantity but certainly not on quality. Nathan recently graduated with a Bible Certificate from Oak Hills and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind a father, mother, and brother who attended Oak Hills Christian College with Nathan this past spring semester. Please keep this family in your prayers."

| Organizational Changes for 2007-2008 - Wednesday, May 16, 2007
BROKEN ARROW, OK. The ACCA board of directors submitted the following organizational changes at their annual meeting. Each of the following changes was approved by a vote of the member schools.
1) Change in leadership structure
In the past the president and vice president are members of the board of directors that are elected by the member schools. The new structure makes the change that the former "president" will now be called "chairman" and the former "vice-president" will now be called "vice-chairman". The commissioner of the organization also had a change in title and will now be the "President/Commissioner" of the ACCA.
2) Portland Bible College was approved as a new member of the ACCA.
3) Board of Directors Election
The following three people were elected to the ACCA board of directors.
Rick Roth, Southwestern College (Phoenix, AZ)
Perry Shockley, Rhema Bible College (Broken Arrow, OK)
Dan Hovestol, Oak Hills Christian College (Bemidji, MN)
4) Board of Directors Appointments
The board of directors appointed the following individuals:
-- Jim Poteet was retained as commissioner and will now have the title of President/Commissioner.
-- Tim Friesen, of Providence College, was appointed to finish an open board of directors slot.
-- Jon Arthur was retained as the Sports Information Director.

| National Championships Conclude - Thursday, March 08, 2007
The 2007 edition of the ACCA national basketball championships is in the books. The week was a huge success with 32 teams competing for national championships in four divisions.
Men's Division I
The Southwestern Christian University Eagles captured their 2nd ACCA National Championship in school history in a 95-63 victory over Dallas Christian College.
Women's Division I
The Hillsdale Free Baptist College Lady Saints captured their 2nd straight ACCA National Basketball Championship on Saturday evening with a 59-52 victory over Grace Bible College of Grand Rapids, MI.
Men's Division II
In the cinderella story of the tournament 8th seeded Champion Baptist College of Hot Spring, AR defeated Crowley's Ridge College, the number two seed, 92-73 in the championship game.
Women's Division II
The Free Will Baptist Bible College Lady Flames, the number two seed, defeated top-seeded Emmaus Bible College on Saturday afternoon in the championship game, 56-51.

National Championships Conclude - Monday, March 06, 2006
Hillsdale Claims Two National Titles
Bethany, OK - The 2006 edition of the ACCA National Basketball Championships concluded with three championship games, each decided in the final seconds. In the first game of the evening Oak Hills Christian College, the #6 seed, defeated the top seeded Emmaus Bible College in the Men's Division II Championship game. Oak Hills foward Glen Bratz was named the tournament MVP, and led Oak Hills in scoring each of the three games.
The Women's Division II tournament marked the second national championship in three years for the Association Free Lutheran Bible College from Plymouth, MN. AFLBS defeated the #1 seed Crossroads College in the semi-finals and then took down the #2 seed, Barclay College in the championship game.
The Women's Division I championship was won by Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College. After upsetting the top seed, Grace Bible College, in the semi-finals they were able to beat the #3 seed Dallas Christian College in the championship. Dallas Christian upset the #2 seed Southwestern Christian University in the semi-finals on Friday. It was a back and forth battle, with Hillsdale pulling out the victory in the end behind key contributions from Sheila Howard, Lacey Trosper, and tournament MVP Sacia Franklin. This would not be the first championship for Hillsdale this evening though.
The men's team from Hillsdale was also able to capture the Men's Division I title in a one point win over the #1 seed, Grace Bible College. Hillsdale got great play the entire week from point guard Corey Clark and tournament MVP Jimmy Gibbs.
